A foot drop, also called drop foot, occurs when the foot can not be lifted. The foot can not normally be settled and flops at the drop often heard on the ground drop foot splints. The blow caused by weakness of foot voetheffers (musculus extensor hallucis brevis and longus, brevis and extensor digitorum longus muscle and anterior m.tibialis). These muscles provide respectively for lifting the big toe, the other toes and the entire foot. The teenheffers (extensors) also contribute to dorsiflexion (lifting feet) in the ankle. The hit rate can result from compression neuropathy of the L5 nerve root, but also by compression of the peroneal nerve, for example by the long legs to sit. Also known as the cock action step: this is to offset the higher knee lift than normal to prevent the foot drags along the ground because of the foot lifter weakness.
Foot drop is a condition in the foot. It can be caused by nerve fibularis communis caught, thereby decreasing function of the muscles that innervate. It includes the foot dorsalflexorer which allows you to highlight fotryggen to the lower leg. At the time, these muscles frequently leads to failure and the foot hanging, drop foot splints. The foot is then dragged to the ground and causing additional serious problems when walking on stairs when light strikes the foot of the next steps if you do not lift the knee high. In this syndrome is not helpful to have, wait for further research in neurosurgery. Foot drop can occur after chemotherapy when the nerve has been damaged at the tip of the nervous system (fingers and feet). This goes to work out with the rehab and training fotskenor.
